What is PAN Card: What is full form of PAN card? Does it change?
PAN is a
Permanent Account Number- which does not change during the lifetime of PAN holder. It is issued in the form of a laminated card by the Income Tax Department. It is a 10 digit number. First five characters are letters, next 4 numerals, last character letter. The 5th character is the first character of either the 'last name of the person' or the 'name of the organisation' in the case of Company.
Online Process for New Card: Online application process for New PAN card?
Charges for online PAN application are:
(including service tax) for Indian communication address. a) Rs. 94
(including service tax) for foreign communication address. b) Rs. 944 Payment of application fee can be made through credit/debit card or net-banking.
Subsequently, applicant is required to send the supporting documents through courier/post.

A contract of a value exceeding Rs. 1 lakh for sale or purchase of securities.
Opening a bank account and on any bank transaction of Rs. 50,000 or more.
Applying for a telephone connection (landline or mobile).
